The spatial configurations of room compartments are extended as multiple grid constructions of individual “houses” that respond to localised grid and contingent influences on the assembly of “rooms” and “floors”, with divergent grid constructions of “roof” and “external” works.

The external “room” assemblies develop as flexible fields of elemental distribution that respond to localised manipulations and contingent implications of “grid”, in the context of an holistic grid framework of built construction. The potential external constructions and typologies of elemental distribution reflect varying degrees of formal complexity.

a-project is developing these “external” studies of surface and landscape as an ongoing framework that suggests multiple possibilities for elemental distribution and occupation in relation to built constructions. In this instance forming an evolving logic of a series of planting compartments and surface treatments.
